$60. (eeuroparts.com; a saab.net sponsor.) Make sure it comes with valve stem seals or get them as well. There's no reason to go to all that effort and find in 10k miles the seals are starting to go. Think about replacing the front main seal, oil pump seal, and main serpentine and AC belts while you're in there. It's been a few years, but I did an 87. It's definitely a job to have the Haynes manual for bolt torques, and check Quasi and Townsend's sites for general guidance.
It's a job where you want to be organized so parts don't get mixed up, and don't hesitate to remove pieces that block your way to other pieces. The few minutes extra it takes really saves time in the long run. Also, tape a flattened box over the radiator fins so they don't get all banged up as you're moving stuff around. Definitely have a machine shop clean the head, seat the valves and replace the valve seals.
It's a big job; I couldn't do it in 8 hours without a whole lot more practice! And the shop will likely have the head for a few days at least. But if you can afford to have the car down for a week, you can do it.
Good Luck!
