The stock 91 pads were just as you describe; apparently, they haven't changed. All these aftermarket guys say "yeah, we've got blah-blah pads, they're what Saab uses." But they ain't the same, by a long shot.
Well, nuts, I've got hard, metallic or semi-metallic, aftermarket pads. That partly explains the ridiculous pedal pressure and lousy performance. If they do OK with the new rotors (and don't eat them up), I'll stay with them. I suspect, however, that even with new rotors I won't like them.
