I'm just going to reply without even reading the rest of the replies ... no telling what they say. Why do you want numbers? If you can go 5 mph faster through a given corner than you could ever go before, what do any other numbers matter? Someone suggested it's just a matter of confidence ... seems absurd to me, but if I have 5 mph more confidence now than I've ever had before for every corner I've ever known intimately, then hey, confidence outweighs numbers. I think all the numbers are higher - absolute sustained G's, slalom, everything. But I don't really know that. All I know is that I can corner faster than I've ever been able to corner before, and that pretty much says it all for me. As for ride quality, that is indeed a very subjective thing. I'll say this though: I've never heard antone else say anything at all about big bars making the ride stiffer, and I think that's an oversight. People get so enamored with what they want to feel that they don't see any negative effects at all, and I don't think that's very good reporting. I'm telling you that the big bars make the ride a lot stiffer; take it or leave it. I just wish some others had told me beforehand so I could have made a more educated choice. So now I'm trying to help others make a more educated, more rational choice. Y'know what, though? I LIKE these babies! And I'm beginning to like the very intimate feel of the road. If I lived up north in ice-induced pot hole country, I don't know that I could stand the ride. But down here in the relatively smooth southland, I'm starting to think I can live very happily with these things. I just don't know if I can afford a new set of Firestone Firehawks every 15000 miles or so!
