That shouldn't be the case unless it has gotten THAT dirty since May. They supposedly put a new one in just prior to my purchasing the vehicle, though I'll admit to having not investigated that for myself. I did bring the car to an independent Saab mechanic, though, and he didn't mention a dirty filter either.

Thanks for your thoughts, Zeke.

I'll have to see if the arm is pulling for heat, as the man said...if nothing else, it's a good way for me to learn some troubleshooting and to start getting to know my car more intimately. I probably won't have the time to do this until the upcoming weekend, but I'll report back when I do.
