Question on new BSR Stage 3 ECU upgrade...

Installed the new ECU yesterday, and I have a question. I drove to work (20 minute drive, 1st drive with the upgraded ECU) and kept the auto in 3rd to maintain as high of a boost as possible for the adaptation run. Initially, the car idled like crap, then when I arrived at work, the idle was smooth, so I'm assuming the adaptation run was complete (?). Anyway, I noticed that my boost guage now goes into the RED! It used to stop within the red/yellow area. Am I going to harm my Garrett turbo with this new upgrade? Is it okay for the guage to go into the red? If so, for how long can it stay there?
Now that the ECU is allowing the turbo to put out more boost, would it be wise for me to use a different/better BPV? Is the Viggen one better than a Forge (or piston-style) one? Should I just keep my stock one on?
Even though it was only a short ride, I definitely feel more torque. It pins me into the seat! Though, I seem to have more lag now, but maybe the adaptation is not complete yet (?). I was told by Engstrom.net before I made the purchase that any lag should be completely gone with the new ECU (even though an auto tranny sees very little lag to begin with). I will have to try it out more during the week.
Any help from anyone would be appreciated!!!!
