So I will go for an aftermarket/better/piston-style BPV. It seems to make sense from what you both have said as well as what I've seen on this board.
It appears that the Forge BPV has been having problems, from what I gather by the complaints read here. Where do I go for the best price on a Hyperboost? Is it the same size as stock? Are there different models to choose from? I know the Forge came in 2 different sizes/models.
I assume the Viggen BPV is diaphragm-style. Is it still better to go with the Hyperboost over the Viggen one?
The accurate boost-pressure guage: what make, where to get one, where to install? I did see a pic not too long ago where someone had mounted his on the interior A-arm pillar, driver's side. Any other places to mount this thing? Or, should I just keep it temporarily attached to the engine for a couple of weeks (running the hose through the firewall), and then take it out since I'll know by then what the psi will be?
I should have taken some readings with my old ECU first. Though, I just had the base-boost adjusted to 0.48 (which is the highest recommended by Saab), and was running with the JT and K&N. So, I assume the psi must have been close to the end of whatever the highest psi an oem Saab ECU would be putting out for a '98 auto, correct? Would you know what that figure might be?
Wow, the upgrade-bug has bitten this 9K lover real hard!!!!!
