I do agree totally. Saab says they typically last 200k kilometers max. It's a moving part so it wears out. You can try keeping it on the road by cleaning and calibrating, and doing so I could postpone replacement for almost a year or 30k kilometers.
But that's just postponing the inevitable.
What I was saying was that before going that road, just make sure the cheaper things like valves, vacuum lines, cleaning and calibration are NOT the problem.
Oh, and if you have the body replaced, follow the advice of Anders! Have it done by someone who knows what he/ (she?) is doing. If you fit a new body, have the TCS ECU reset before that, otherwise you might damage the new throttle body. Then have it calibrated.
A new throttle body will cost $600-700. Mounting it is a piece of cake, but as said you need the Tech-II to reset & calibrate, so you might as well have the whole operation done by a Saabtech.
