Keep in mind though that no one can be an expert on many different cars.

He is probably a genuine good mechanic, but todays cars are way to complicated for one man to know everything.

I keep myself to only Saab's and Volvo's. And it's hard enough to try to gather as much information as possible about new problems.

( That's why I keep a track of this board the whole time )

A friend of mine works on all cars, and I know he is really good. But he also know when to send the car to the dealer, if it's a really complicated problem that demands the latest in scanners and software.

I'm glad he fixed your Saab.
