There is a spec. The big thing is to ENSURE that the gage reads some value in ohms (NOT against the mechanical stop) when the float is in the same plane as the bottom of the bucket. It should read 370 when full. The resistive piece is 33-370 ohm. I seem to remember it was 50 ohm when the float was in the sam plane, but may be wrong. Maybe someone can fill in this detail as I cannot seem to find it.
