having been a Saaber for almost 30 years and currently own a 9000 Turbo 2.0, a 2000 170 hp 9-5 and a 185 hp 2001 Wagon I find ALL to be desirable cars but I still find the 9000 to a more desirable car. The 2001 Wagon is a really close second. the 2000 sedan sucks though. That package shelf cuts way down on the utility and visibility is extremely poor in the sedan. Wagon is the only body style i would consider if buying an new Saab today. as for reliability I believe the newer cars are alittle better but I sure can't fault my 2.0 for reliability considering the miles. I had several (5) 2.3 liter Saabs and found them to be great cars too especially the Aeros. How I wound up with the 2.0 9000 T was a pure fluke- it was given to me! I can sum up as follows the newer saabs are automobiles, the 9000s are unique machines.
