Check ALL of the rear suspension bolts. 9K's are notorious for certain bolts loosening up within the rear suspension. This is a known Saab problem that service shops look for.
I replaced my rear sway bar bushes last year, and while under there, I decided to check all the bolts. Sure enough, 2 of them needed extra tightening. And this was on a '98 with 55K miles!
Be sure to look around for any and all bolts. You'll find them in the bottom of the shocks, the sway bar hold downs and end links, panhard rod, torque arms, etc. I'd say there are at least a dozen to look for, different sizes as well.
You might also want to re-check the exhaust system. Hold onto the exhaust tip (when cool!) and shake it up and down and side to side. It should not make any noise, as well as not hit anything (such as the rear axle or undercarriage).
Other than that, it could quite possible be a worn/broken shock. If so, you should hear a noise coming from it just by bouncing the car up and down by the rear bumper.
Good luck!
Joe
