so, for $300 dollars, it is still looking like a good deal. My first turbo, second Saab. It's a manual, 243,000 miles. Of course there are some irregularities. Here's some:

The heating system. I've read the heater core is a big issue on 9000s. Don't know if thats my problem, it seems more like just the blower. There is _some_ heat, but it doesn't blow. I just drove it home, and I didn't totally freeze, and it's probably single digits here. I did the diagnosis, and I got a code "88". Explanation?
So we went to pick it up yesterday, but the battery was dead. Fair enough, it has sat all winter. We bring a battery with us, put it in, starts up, the voltmeter reads 10.4 or something decent. About 2 minutes into the journey, the display goes out, and then in another minute it reads 00. The whole trip, the battery light itself never went out. But when we got home, it started back up, and battery was fully charged. Just faulty wiring, or should I be worried about battery draining overnight?
I don't know what it should sound like, but when there is none, or very light throttle (ie. no/little turbo), there is this, swishing(?), sound coming from drivers side engine compartment. hmm?
Finally, the previous owner cut the AC belt off, and now there is this rattling. We think its just an AC pulley that is loose, and rattles now. We're able to rattle it by hand, and no belt or anything on it. Are we right, or indicator of more serious problem?

Anyways, thanks in advance for any answers. This thing drives/rides/handles superbly, cant believe it has 243,000 miles! MUCH better than my 8-valve non-turbo 900, at least :)
