that buying new springs is very expensive. The dealer will have the exact part number for the spring you want (I assume a 1989 Hatchback?), but any hatchback from 1987 through 1989 (turbo or non-turbo) should work. The 1990 turbo hatchback had the self leveling shock, so that is out, and the 1991/1992 turbo hatchbacks were stiffer than other models and will not match up well with the softer springs you have in front. However 1991/1992 non-turbo hatchback springs would work just fine. From 1993 to 1998 the body style changed and I would guess the springs did also.
I would reconsider your requirement that you only use new springs on your car. The rest of the car is 14 years old, and in my experience the springs on these older Saabs don't seem to sag appreciably, unlike some American cars that seem to go down to the bump stops after about 5 years. The cost of used springs will be in the $50 range ($25 each) and just as a guess, I would think the dealer would want $100 each for new springs (call and ask).
