I'm looking at doing some preventative maintenance to my 9000 CDE.

One of the jobs is replacing the serpentine belt. It's not making any noises and the belt doesn't look that bad, but I have no idea when/if it was replaced. The car has 125,000 miles, and I don't want my wife to get stranded just because it looks okay!

So, are the pulley's usually replaced at the same time as the belt, or do these usually last the life of the car. I'm planning on doing the crank pulley, but I'm not sure about the other pulleys.

Or is this one of those, replace it as you see it type of things.
