poly tranny mount evaluation Posted by adam [Email] (#344) [Profile/Gallery] (more from adam) on Fri, 2 May 2003 10:37:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've had it in for a few weeks now so it's time to evaluate. The engine movement is reduced to nothing it's amazing no noticable movement what so ever. The tranny also shifts so smoothly but that could also be because the clutch wasnot fully disengaging before. However the vibrations definately increased. They are noticable at idle but go away once moving. It is no were as bad as two poly upper mounts was but again it is noticable.
I still think that the best compromise would be a solid rubber mount for upper and tranny. This should reduce almost all movement and not give the extra vibrations I guess the tradeoff is they will where out faster but that's probably worth it.
