Ive been in traffic with 90 plus degrees this week, and at best it will hit 3/4, the fan cuts in and it's back to 1/2, or a slight bit more.
it's good to hear that your fan works, ,,,,when I bought my '88 I had overheating problems because of calcification on the back of the fan switch. Replace both and flush your system....you should be good to go.
