Saabyheads,
The hood light is attached with two torques bolts, has a mercury
switch and a regular switch. The regular switch set to off with
not allow the light to work at all. With the regular switch on,
the internal mercury switch turns the light on and off as the hood
opens and closes. My problem is that the hot wire to the device is
cold. It should be hot 24/7. I'm wondering where the other end of the
hot wire goes, to a fuse of just to a hot connection, I'd like to fix it
to be stock instead of simply running a new not wire from the engine
compartment. I have gone around the dead hot wire, and the light works
fine including bulb and mercury switch. So my question remains, where
does the hot wire connect to the grid, and does it go through a
fuse?
Thanks,
Michael O.
