JT install, exhaust studs, band clamps

Hi everybody,
'95 9000 Aero
I just purchased the 3" JT system and have a few questions:
I have a broken exhaust stud and intend to replace them all. I understand that i should soak the hell out of them prior to removal. For removal of the broken stud, should I remove the manifold to get at it?
I am considering replacing the manifold with an extrude honed/exterior ceramic coated one. Can I remove the exhaust manifold without removing the AC compressor?
Any preference on band clamps? Some are $12, some are $25 (v-band clamp). Any specific brands/styles?
Thanks,
Chris
