I've had both '91 and '92 9000 turbo 5speeds. At the time I bought each of them, they had aged about 12k miles/yr. which isn't bad. The one you're looking at seems about the same. The '91-'92 turbos were REDICULOUSLY fast. They still had the close-mated gears from the first gen 9000s before they got taller in, I think it's either '93 or '95, whatever. The '91s got the 2.3 200hp engine (actually rated at 217hp) with most of the torque falling into the lower RPMs (1900-) because of the little, quick-spooling turbos. '91 is the year to get because most '92s (inclucing mine) came with TCS which is one of the worst moves Saab ever made in my opinion. My '91 could keep up with my friend's S4 (250hp) and looked just as good. In short, the '91 9000 turbo is probably the fastest Saab made to this day, and in my opinion, the best-looking and most bad-ass looking of the lot. It will always make you smile is you're willing to; A) refinish those gorgeous 2-tone Aero rims, B) replace most parts in the engine, all coolant hoses, heater core, and AC compressor. You might also need to; C) replace the radiator and AC condensor and headlight buckets because the suspension is so stiff it shakes and breaks these things loose. In response to an earlier post, this is NOT your grandfather's car.
