She has a '95, and I think that thing wallows around on the road. If I were getting a later model 9k for myself, I'd definitely get an Aero or re-do the suspension on a non-Aero. However, no need to do this for a '91. It feels similar to the C900, in terms of stiffness. And, you can add Konis to make it stiffer, thick sway bars, poly bushings, etc. You will defintely replace the heater core at some point, but buy the expensive replacement and that's the last time you'll do that job.
I think they're fairly reliable. Sorry for the long post, but I should address this issue for you. We've had an '88 which had 65K miles on it when we got it in '95, and it's done quite well. New clutch, slave, some brake calipers, alternator bushings, heater core and blower motor, lock actuator, a couple of brake calipers, brake rotors, exhaust x 2, hatch raising shocks, front suspension bushings, and now it needs a new steering rack, exhaust system and roof liner. I think that's pretty good for almost 9 years of ownership and 110K additional miles since we bought it, considering we paid under USD9000 at the time. And whenever I got to drive that car (it was my wife's) instead of my '87 900S, I loved it. The '91 is even better.
