I have a relatively new battery, yet when I start it in the morning the reading is always at about 10. While it is nice that there is no distributor or coil to deal with, seems like there is an engineering problem with the DI cassette. Everyone has a DI story, and reasons why they fail but I think the problem is that there is something inherently wrong with them. For 300 bucks you should be able to get something that works all the time for at least 100 thousand miles. Why should I worry about the havoc my battery's voltage will wreck on the DI cassette. It should work all the time without regard to a lower voltage. You would expect that DI cassette engineering would have been figured out by now, it is not that complex.
