I have had this high beam/low beam swap in effect for about three years now and I have not experienced any problems caused by using the high beam bulb in the low beam socket. In addition, I am using Sylvania Silverstars in the headlights, and I also added a pair of the Hella FF100 driving lights (great output)wired up to that they go on with the high beams (also have a separate on/off switch with the FF 100s). This combo of the high beam bulbs in low beam sockets, the Silverstar bulbs, and the FF 100s is the best solution to my dissatisfaction with the stock DOT oem lights on the 9000.
