Jeff,
The question is after sitting in traffic whan its hot and it heats up..will it cool off to normal when driving at normal speed fairly quickly ? If not ,as was the case in my 93, it is probably the raidiator being blocked by crud. I would guess it has had a raidiator change by now but if not that is probably the problem... A new raidiator is around $150 from europarts..
