Dent you say, not a scratch/scoring?
Beeing 1mm deep I wouldn't try to resurrect that engine but get another engine or block instead.
Saab have 1mm oversized pistons, but you would need 2mm if the dent is 1mm deep.
It is too much work involved if whatever quick fix you do would fail.
It is many engines out there (at least in US) so it should be possible to find one for less money than rebuilding this one.
