okay so i have a '93 9k, with about 125k on it. I like it a lot, except the fact that it is a n/a auto. i really really want a stick turbo, but couldn't afford one at the time. my indy is selling a 87 stick turbo that has some body rust and steering and braking issues. So its a parts car...but he said the engine still ran strong, even with 215k on it. was thinking about transferring the engine in. am i far too naieve on this one? setting myself up for disaster to try and either do it myself or have him do it? donor car is being sold very cheap and am probably buying for parts either way. any suggestions are appreciated (let me know if it is a dumb idea, because it will help me out in the end)
thanks in advance for your help.
