I agree with George. If your '86 is in good repair, why inherit someone else's unknowns? True, the '91 and '92 will be faster than your '86, but with that expendable $2,000 you can do some performance mods that will beef up the '86.

When I bought my '90, I had to put in a new clutch/slave, alternator, hooter valve, and new rear shocks.....and it was in good condition already. Not to mention replacing the tires....
