Select the settings you prefer.
Press and Release the top rightmost button (vent) and the lower rightmost button (arrows) on the ACC simultaneously. (the ACC display and lights should flash)
Turn of car, wait at least 30 seconds. (important)
Mine is set to be OFF at startup. BUT, I have noticed something that I've been meaning to ask the board about:
When set to OFF, the AC compressor still runs I think, because I can feel cold air being forced in on hot days even if the ACC is set to off.
I think the only true way to disable the Compressor is to choose ECON (which answers one of your questions, the air isn't cooled on ECON)
This matters to me due to the vast difference in low-end torque I notice with the car in ECON.
Can anyone confirm that the AC compressor still runs when the ACC is set to off?
As for where to get parts online, I suggest eEuroparts.com, or another saabnet sponsor.
Good Luck -AMG
