crazy radio and hiccuping engine, ideas anyone?

93 cset manual 157k, The radio requires its code everytime I start the car now, and the equilizer is at a diffrent setting everytime, sometimes the cd player starts in scan mode, and sometimes the cd player back light doesn't work. The radio is crazy.

Also when first starting the car on any givin day, the engine hiccups (rpm drops) and sometimes stalls especcially when attempting to put it in gear and accelerate. After 5 min or so its fine, whats that about? The engine also has quite the rattle for ONLY the first five minutes aprox, (timing chaing for only five minutes?) Ideas appreciated,Thanx all.
