I highly doubt that your idle problem is due to disconnecting Pin 14. As long as you didn't remove Fuse 9 (which will affect idle because that fuse also controls brake boost), turning off Pin 14 will not affect idle.

More than likely, you have a vacuum leak...somewhere. Welcome to the club! Every single Saab owner will have, at some point, had to deal with finding a vacuum leak. Your best bet would be to replace all vacuum lines, given the age of your car, as well as the fact that these kinds of leaks are sometimes extremely difficult to find. They can be as small as a pinhole, but when in use, expand to a larger diameter allowing a good amount of vacuum to escape.

Be certain to use silicone vacuum lines since it lasts longer than rubber. Many site sponsors carry sets of these, and they're not expensive nor is it a difficult job. Time consuming, but not hard.

Also, you might want to check the PCV check valve. It's the small valve inline of the small diameter hose coming out of the double-nipple connector on top of the crankcase (pass. side corner directly above the red DI cassette). Remove the hose from the intake manifold end and try to suck through it. If there is little to no resistance, replace it ($13). This keeps pressurized air/boost out of your crankcase which could cause internal damage, as well as lowers your turbo boost levels.

I'm surprised that you tried the Pin 14 trick while "just owning" your car. You should get to know it more before you start playing around with things like that. That way, you'll be able to better feel the difference mods will make!
