is by using the cruise control. Anyway, this works on my automatic and I can't see why a manual would be any different.
Set the cruise before you start up a hill or some sort of incline.
As you go up, press the TIP switch so the speed starts to drop a little.
Then press the resume switch (the other half of the same switch).
The car will try to accelerate to bring the speed back up but will only get base boost because the cruise control prevents it having anything more.
Now, watch the boost gauge needle as the car accelerates up to speed. If it isn't just about vertical, halfway along the yellow, base boost is probably out of range.
