but to replace them. Are you sure they're both bad? That seems less than likely, but you probably should replace the one on the false bulkhead anyway along with all the vacuum lines and the check valve just as a matter of course.

From what I've read, the safety valve is related to TCS limp-home mode kicking in after the car (and valve) have warmed up, so if your TCS light stays on at startup and the car starts in LHM I would doubt the new safety valve alone will change that.

TCS sucks, period. Search the boards for limp home, LHM or TCS, pay attention to key posts by SWEDECAR, and Adrian, etc.

I truly feel your pain, I had TCS problems (valve only luckily), and my father's car has a TCS problem we're trying to fix. I hope you find a solution. -AMG
