Ian,
Sent you an E-mail before I THOROUGHLY read all of your post.
Didn't even think about the RHD clutch access. :) But it sounds like you got it ok.
The release bearing, I believe, simply slides over the guide tube. I don't think that it locks into place. It just rides on the guide, held captive by the plate and slave.
Post a specific release bearing question. I know Quasi and Aaron have been down this path more frequently than I.
But, I think you are OK. Let me know.
