Urby, I have a 91 9kt auto that has 202k on it. It slips from a rest sometimes in 3. If I take off in D at about 35-40mph it gets this binding sound coming from the tranny. If I shift quickly to 3rd it goes away. So I know I'm on borrowed time.
I did a complete overhaul of the car at 158k. Replaced TC and HG suspension exhaust etc. I'm in that do I part it or keep it going when the tranny goes syndrome.
Knowing how difficult it is to take out the tranny would help in this decision. Thanks
Brian
