Well, I am sure many of you have seen my car that i posted a few days ago (1991 red 9000t). Anyways, In the process of fixing it and was going to bleed out the clutch yesterday and the bleeder valve on the transmission is "locked". We were using a ~7in 3/8in rachet handle and we couldnt break it loos with that. (obviously had a 18 in extension on it to bring it above the engine). Well.. since we (my dad and I) really didnt want to break it, we stopped trying. I sprayed some penetrating fluid on it, waited about an hr and tried again to no avail. I did it again periodically throughout the night and then actually put some in the bleeder hole so it would have a "constant" supply of penetrating fluid working at it. My dad is going to spray it a few times/day for the next few days until I can get home to try it again.
What I am really writing this is for those of you who have encountered this problem, to give me some insight as how to make it break loose w/out actually breaking it (that would suck).
If in the next few days, the penetrating fluid doesnt work, we are going to put some heat on it (w/ a torch) and hopefully that will help it.. otherwise.. until I get some suggestions for you guys (and maybe a few gals) we will just have to force it until it comes and hope to hell that it doesnt break the valve.. i really dont want to take out the tranny.
Any suggestions/insight GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Nate
