should do the trick. I just don't really like trucks myself, and no I am not the parent but I was asked to help convince the youngster, the parents would rather see him in a Saab, and yes he would have to cover his monthly payment(I think part of it).
The good of the truck is really very seasonal if you will... hauling, off roading,.. otherwise it is a behicle (that is no mistype), looks, gas, handling, whatever... I don't like it. But a personal opinion, especially a bad one, never was enough to convince me.
I do agree however that one should drive what he or she likes. So it will be up to them to decide what car to get. I just wanted to get some help from everyone on this board, and you guys were helpful as always.

There is one thing I know for sure though: I am with Saab because I love the way they go about building cars, and that is their own way. They don't copy anybody, they don't have to. Their are smart and confident enough to come up with new solutions to older problems, they don't go for luxury, they don't go for performance, they do not go for looks or perceived image, Saab is building cars that carry you and your things from point A to point B. They don't compete with anybody. They are practical and safe means of transportation, that's it.
The japanese have unsurpassed reliability, but what's the last time they dared to come up, and then use a new technology in a vehicle? They are running a business of making money and gaining market share, they don't have a third of the enthusiasm SAAB has. Maybe the Swedes are going to be out in 10 yrs who knows? But that won't be because they don't build good cars, on the contrary, they're too busy doing just that! GM is business oriented, maybe they will help. I just hope they don't ruin it.
Happy holidays everybody..!
