I have a 95 9000 CSE that just locked on its cruise control to keep accelerating. Conditions, approx 10 deg F soak outside overnight, dry pavement all around, engine was just warmed up, cruise was on, but then noticed it was accelerating up the hill. Brakes applied, no result, cruise button off, no results still was accelerating. Then shut off engine, pulled off road. Checked linkage, all seemed okay, apparently and electronic signal problem. On first restart, engine reved to over 6500 rpm, shut off for fear of blowing engine, tried the second time a minute or so later, same thing, then one more time, this time it only whent up to 5500 rpm then returned to idle and everything was okay.

Anybody have this happen before? This is the second time, first time was approx a year ago, simiilar conditions. Seems like solution is to never engage cruise in cold weather until well warmed up.
