I canceled my order with Engstrom for the 3" exhaust system since they never even acknowledged me as a customer even though I called, emailed and faxed them. I call Taliaferro, talked to someone on the phone, and my 3" down pipe was on my door 3 days later.-Thats service!

My aero is a 1995 with TCS and a 5-speed. It is bone stock with the exception of a K&N filter. So this is just the Down pipe observations, exhaust and ECU to come later.
I live in Colorado so I had no rusted bolts to contend with and the installation was straight forward. I sprayed penetrating oil on all the bolts the night before anyway.

It took me 2.5 hours in my garage and only a couple of tools. Make sure you have a 13mm wrench and a socket with a wobbly.

I couldn't get over the size of the thing it is substantiall bigger. I have a 7.3l turbo diesel that uses a 3.5in exhaust. The JT DP is very good quality.

I didn't realize it was meant to be installed without the cat. So I will have to buy a 3" cat before my next emissions, since my cat is welded to my old DP.

The kit came with everything you need to be on the road again. Hangers, clamps and all that. I recommend cutting down the DP a couple of inches so you don't have to compress the flex pipes so much as I did. When I did this it caused a vibration and the exhuast tip was out of alignment.

I'm not sure if I have an exhuast leak or not(it doesn't sound like it from the outside) but it was definately louder than I was expecting. (of coarse I don't have a cat either now)It really grumbles and at low speeds the turbo noise is much more noticeable (sounds like a siren or a jet engine)The turbo noise I love.
Boost definately comes on sooner and with more gusto. It's almost like my 9-5 Aero, but not quite. Seat of the pants meter noticed at least 10-15lb-ft of torque increase.

Overall I'm very pleased with the folks at Taliaferro and I really like the improvement of the car. I will adjust the DP some more and put it together with some exhaust putty and see if I can quiet it down a bit more, but if I can't it's only noticeable at idle and take off, highway noise is the same unless I floor it.

Next will be my blow off valve and my ECU upgrade I'll keep you updated.
