Joe has just about covered all the usual things although I think by 1996 the heater core problem may have been addressed by Saab. I might add that the fuel pump is likely to go before 150,000 miles but that is true with just about any fuel injected car. Our family has had three 900s, two 9000s, and one 9-5. I find the 9000 to be slightly better than the 900s were in snow and I think the 9000 is more fun to drive than my significant other's 9-5. She would disagree. This year I bought my fist set of Nokian WRs and so far I am very impressed with them on ice and
