David. Mayeb it is a mistake, but here is my logic. The car was sideswiped/clipped . Whatever hit it caught the wheel, and fractured it. The wheel and axle assembly went slightly inward, bending the lower suspension arm. The body guy (whom I trust), says it is not a problem, and told me if the wheel went forward into the back door, then that would very different= would not want to repair. That is why I am going forward with repair. This guys does saabs all the time, and has done a couple of mine. In fact, he just finished painting this aero 2 months ago, when I was hit in the right front by a deer running from hunters on season opening day!! I have been snakebit the past 3 months! As for the 335 k miles, recently replaced head gasket and timing chain, and the top end of engine was in excellent condition. I do expect to get to 400k and beyond, future deer and aholes notwithstanding. - regards, Tom S.
