The OHM rating is what will make a big difference in sound volume. Alot of factory speakers are the weakest item of the system. But they are of low Ohm rating (impedence) 2,4,6. Less power needed to hear a set volume level. Most aftermarket speakers are 8 ohms. They will work normally, although you will find the volume needs to be turned higher to hear the same.
Peak Power rating doesnt really matter, because a stereo doesnt stay there, if at all. The Peak is just that. not something that a stereo normally operates at. Any amplifier or speaker works better when the wattage is in the Middle or lower of its wattage range. (50watt speaker- 20 to 30watt range.) Most all complete systems are like this. I find more difference in sound quality between brands is the key factor in listening to them if you can before buying. Some stereo shops care factory TYPE speakers that are very inexpensive as a replacement.
