I own a 1991 9000 with approximately 206K miles. Please see my prior posting re. HEATED REAR WINDOW. One of the tabs on mine was broken off but I re-attached it. Still no heat. I then disconnected both wires from the rear window and measured resistance using a digital VOM. The reading from the female connector to ground is 1.6 ohms on the passenger side, which the shop manual indicates is the ground side. I also get a 3.6 ohm reading on the drivers side. This has me a bit confused. When I leave the wires disconnected and measure voltage on the drivers side it is approximately 13.6 volts. I am using the bolts that attach the trunk latch to the car as my meter ground point. Also, does anyone know what the resistance across the rear window heating element should be?
