As the proud engineer of that item, let me say that is is working wonderfully. I just came off a 1000+ mile trip with no problem. I was (and still am if it happens again) at the point of selling this car if it happens again, but for now it seems to have cured the problem. My tensioner was jumping around while the car was idling and this bracket makes that tensioner rock-solid.
The problem wasn't a new belt or the belt breaking, it's the fact that I have to call a tow-truck because I don't want to tow an automatic.
So, if you've replaced the idler and tensioner pulleys and confirmed that your crank pulley is still good, spend the $108 bucks or have some fun making a part. Someone mentioned finding an old-style tensioner pulley from a junk-yard and using that. That is another option that is cheaper than replacing your part.
Good luck
Tom
