choice. They clamp down a bit tighter as force is applied and have teeth to bite into what remains of the plug head, plus they are long enough to give some extra leverage. You can get these in various sizes at a hardware store or places like Home Depot. Applying heat first wouldn't hurt matters any. But do tryo to get the car elevated more so you can take advantage of the length of the pipe wrench.
Hopefully it hasn't been cross threaded.
