When it comes to setting the rear caliper, folks are spending a lot of time worrying about very little.
How long the tire will spin depends on the bearing, drag, how hard you spun it, other stuff. When turning the screw in, there isn't much of a difference between no drag and the tire barely turning. All you really want to do is to turn the screw in until the pads start to contact the rotor - you feel some resistance - and then back it off just a little. This is for the parking/emergency brake, and it is self-adjusting - you're just trying to get it into the ball-park.
