the O2 sensor out of useable range. Meaning, it could have failed or something else is dumping too much fuel into your engine or not burning enough of the fuel that is being dumped in. Most likely culprit is the DI.
Hopefully I can explain this well enough without over explaining. If your DI is weak/failing you will be passing unburned fuel into your exhaust. Your O2 sensor will realize this rich condition and try to make an adjustment to your computer. The computer adjusts many things from ignition timing to fuel injector opening timing and duration. If for some reason it can't maintain it's programmed levels it will throw the CEL code. O2 code doen't necessarily mean that your sensor failed, it means something has taken your O2 sensor out of range. It could be a failed sensor, but it could be a failed DI, Coolant temp sensor, Crank position sensor, MAF sensor. To me, logically thinking, the easiest part to verify is the DI because you can change it without a lot of time and relatively clean. If it restores running condition, the O2 code will disappear when you reset the computer.
Good Luck
David
