93CSET, as per taurus_sho's suggestions, I jumpered 12 v to the clutch wire that runs from the low pressure switch, and the compressor will run. Nice and smooth, blowing cool (58f at idle) as long as its jumped across.
I checked both a/c relays in the dash, cleaned the contacts, they both seem to be working and doing their jobs.
Further results: there are 0 volts at the "power in" wire coming to the lo press switch on the compressor. The accessory a/c cooling fan does not run with the acc on "lo". (I have not jumped to it to see if the motor is gone). Finally, even though the ac compressor does not cycle on, the car's idle varies a little when the relays seem to fire, as though the control unit is expecting a little more drag on the motor.
Any thoughts or advice is most appreciated!!
