There is a silver relay under the hood (inside the relay box) that controls both the electric fan and the compressor. My electric fan would come on with the ACC turned on, but not the compressor. Upon inspection, I found that one side of the contacts had worn down on the relay. Problem solved.
Take the cover off of the silver relay under your hood in the box and reinstall it and watch it engage when you turn on your acc. If it doesn't, then you either have low gas in your system or your acc could be messed up or getting a bad signal from a sensor. With the cover off, you can also manually engage it with a pencil and watch the compressor engage and the fan come on.
Good luck.
