If you remove the lower nut/washer from the sway bar links on BOTH SIDES before pulling the links out, it might be possible to rotate the sway bar up, allowing both links to pop free of the control arms. Since you are planning on doing both sides and will have to take these nuts off anyway, there is nothing to lose by trying.
On the other hand, are you sure that the top bushings on these links is OK? Will the screw threads still be OK when you remove the nuts (they are subject to harsh environment, always wet)? I found a source for the complete link, including the lower bushings and nut, for about $20 each, genuine Febi/Bilstein. Send an email if interested.
