I have a 91 saab 9K. I had the car for almost a year. The clutch is sticking in 2nd gear. The car was towed to autoshop and I find out that the oil pan was cracked and all the oil was draining non stop. The mechanic said he can't fix the clutch unless he fix the oil pan which is going to cost me between $900-$1300 and it will take 7 days to get part.

Do it cost that much to fix a cracked oil pan and replace the gasket.

please give me advice
