I used it on my '90 9kt upon acquisition a few years ago since the previous owner (a Saab mech) recommended it. I haven't used it in a while. I can't say that I've noticed any difference on the plugs, but I didn't exactly conduct a rigorous experiment to determine before/after. The old owner recommended MMO for fuel pump lubrication or someother desired result that I can't possibly verify.
At the very least, I doubt it will harm anything, so give it a shot. Also, check your air filter.
